The Acorn and Fox Inn is an upscale Bed and Breakfast on the cliffs above the south fork of Lake Cumberland.  Located on it's own 10 acres of piney woods, overlooking beautiful Lake Cumberland.  The property is frequently visited by deer, fox, and a wide variety of birds.  A spacious deck, close to the cliff edge allows quiet, shady observation of the boat acitvities on the lake. For those who wish, there is a screened porch where the sport of sitting can be practiced.  Sooth your body mind and soul in this perfectly peaceful setting.

Our Bed and Breakfast accommodations are in the heart of the Lake Cumberland Recreational Area.  Lake Cumberland has over 1,255 miles of shoreline for all types of lake recreation.  There is great year round fishing for Small and Large Mouth Bass, Kentucky Spotted Bass, Striper, Walleye, Crappie, Bluegill and Catfish.  We are convenient to Cumberland Falls, Yahoo Falls, Mill Springs Park, Natural Arch, Big South Fork National Recreation Area, Burnside Island State Park, Daniel Boone National Forest, all of which offer miles of pleasant scenic hiking and amazing scenery. 

We are also convenient to three area marinas: Burnside Marina (6 miles), Conley Bottom Marina (15 mi), and Lee's Ford Marina (21 miles). 

There are three eighteen-hole golf courses within 10 miles, shopping center, mall and two multiplex movie theaters (6 miles). We offer boat/trailer parking at no charge to our guests. 

We would enjoy the opportunity to assist you with activities during your stay.  We have maps and directions to the points of interest mentioned here.

For relaxing, The Acorn and Fox Inn is perfect for holding a small family gathering, a bridge tournament, a wedding reception or a couple's romantic retreat.  We can accommodate groups of 20 for bridge, small celebrations, or wedding parties of 100 on our spacious deck in summer weather.

Our Bed and Breakfast was constructed in 2003-2004 with the comfort of our guest in mind.  It has eight bedrooms, five with spectacular lake views and three looking into the piney woods.  All rooms have a separate entry, private bath, king size bed and are furnished with primarily antiques.  Three lakeview rooms have jucuzzi tubs.  The Inn is ready and waiting to indulge you!

The B & B offers beautiful outdoor living with white wicker furniture on a screened in spacious porch and large decks overlooking the lake and countryside to relax and unwind. 

We can accommodate groups of 20 for bridge, small celebrations and family reunions year round. In warmer weather larger groups can benefit from the use of the large porch and spacious decks. 

A tasteful gourmet breakfast is served from 7:AM to 9:30 AM daily.
